Bring your clubs to us and we’ll quickly assess their suitability for you
At Moon Golf, we have many years of experience in the game and all our staff are enthusiastic and knowledgeable golfers who specialize in tailoring existing clubs to players’ precise requirements.
Whether you’re a tournament player, high handicapper or beginner, having the right clubs is crucial to making the most of your ability and getting the maximum enjoyment from the game.
This means that your clubs need to be exactly right for your unique physical characteristics and style of play. But it doesn’t mean that you need to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on an entirely new set of clubs.
Club Shaft Specification
At Moon Golf we offer a wide variety of custom shaft options to assist us in finding the perfect fit.....But how do you know which one is good for you?
Shafts are designed for different types of golf swings and provide different results based on a players swing speed, tempo, attack angle, and release. All of the variables are equally important in selecting the right shaft.
During a fitting we analyze these variables to see how they affect launch angle, ball flight, spin rate, and ball speed. This data allows us to find the shaft that is optimized for your swing.

Swing Weight
You also need to pay attention to the so-called “swing weight” of your clubs. It sounds technical, but is in reality just a measure of the weight of the club head as a proportion of the weight of the whole club. The higher the figure, the heavier the club will feel during your swing. Pros and low handicap amateurs will generally favor a heavier feel, but this will not be suitable for everyone.
At Moon Golf we can quickly analyze your swing speed, determine the correct swing weight to suit your game, and adjust your clubs accordingly.
Grips
Although the power in your swing is largely determined by the turn of your upper body on the backswing, and the drive of your hips and legs in the downswing, your hands also play a crucial role in controlling the clubface and the elusive “feel” of the shot. And for them to work effectively it’s imperative that the grips on your clubs are right for you.
So if you have unusually large or small hands you may well need the thickness of the grips modified. Our experts can quickly determine this and if necessary re-grip your clubs while you wait. Feel is of course particularly important when putting so we’ll check your putter grip as well.
